What We Want For You

Colossians 1:28-29

A lot of people hear what a church wants from them, but what does this local church want for you?

  1. We want you to know the Security of salvation

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” (Romans 10:1)

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:12–13)

  1. We want you to build your life on Truth

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31–32)

Maximum Freedom is found under God’s authority!

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24–25)

The Spirit of God takes the Word of God and makes me like the Son of God!

  1. We want you develop an intimate, growing Relationship with God

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:16)

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.” (Matthew 22:37–38)

You were planned for God’s Pleasure

  1. We want you to experience Authentic relationships with others.

And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39)

so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5)

We were made not just to believe but also to Belong

  1. We want you to discover the Significance of service

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:” (1 Peter 4:10)

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

We were designed to make a Difference

  1. We want you to have Financial freedom

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” (1 Timothy 6:10)

Don’t confuse your Net Worth with your Self Worth

You Control your finances in a God-honoring way instead of being controlled by your finances

  1. We want you to Experience a healthy marriage and a strong family life

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Proverbs 24:3–4)

The Family was God’s idea!

  1. We want you to know the Joy and fulfillment of being a part of something larger than yourself - God’s mission to change a world

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19–20)

You were made for a Mission
