The Shepherd And His Sheep

1. The Good Shepherd Leads

He Leads Them Through:

• His Relationship with them
• His Responsibility to them
  • Provisions
  • Paths
  • Peace
  • Protection
• His Restoration of them

2. The Good Shepherd Loves

His Love Is Seen In His:

• Arrangements
• Anointing
• Abundance

3. The Good Shepherd Sustains

• With His Grace
• Into His Glory 

Gospel Connection

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.” (John 10:10–16, ESV)

• Is the Lord your shepherd? Is Jesus your Savior? Are you a part of God’s flock?
• What aspects of the Good Shepherd’s care for us do you need to focus on this week? Spend some time in prayer and worship, praising God for being your good shepherd and thanking Him for His work in your life.
• What are the situations or relationships where you need to entrust yourself or others to the shepherd’s care? Spend some time lifting these to the Lord in prayer.  Let the words of this Psalm guide you as you pray
