Our Purpose

Our purpose is to educate girls about missions taking place in our backyard and all over the world. Not only will they learn about missions but become missionaries themselves. They will learn what it means to show the love of Jesus to others. Girls are encouraged to live a lifestyle that honors God everyday.

"As mission leaders, we have a responsibility to cultivate a future generation that can see the world through God's eyes."

Wanda Lee, Executive Director, WMU

GA Motto:
Go Forward!

GA Pledge:

As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by:

 - Learning about missions

 - Praying for missions

 - Giving to missions

 - Doing missions

 - And participating in the work of the church

GA Scripture Verse:

"Give thanks to the Lord. Worship Him. Tell the nations what He has done. Announce how honored He is." Isaiah 12:4 (NIV)

GA Lifestyle Verse:

"The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what He requires of you. You must treat people fairly. You must love others faithfully. And you must be very careful to live the way your God wants you to."  Micah 6:8 (NIV)

10 Compelling Reasons Why Children’s Missions Education Is Important

1. It teaches children that life isn’t all about them.

2. It demonstrates to children how God is at work in the world through stories from the mission field.

3. It cultivates an atmosphere where children are accepted – always inclusive, never exclusive.

4. It provides a place where children participate in fun, age-appropriate learning activities.

5. It instills godly characteristics in children.

6. It offers outreach to non-churched families.

7. It encourages children to learn and apply the Bible to their lives.

8. It provides an environment where teachers serve as role models and mentors/coaches for children.

9. It offers opportunities where parents can serve.

10.It provides outreach to the community and the church.

Outcome:

Children learn what God desires of them and are encouraged to live out the Great Commission.
