This March we have the opportunity to join with Southern Baptist churches all across the nation in a multi-year effort entitled GPS: God’s Plan for Sharing. The vision is for every believer to be sharing Christ and everyone in North America to have an opportunity to hear about Christ by 2020. It is an awesome assignment to join with God and other churches to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our entire nation. The first step in this journey is participation in the first of six bi-annual campaigns. This first campaign is entitled: GPS Across North America. There will be four parts of this campaign.
1. A three-week media saturation campaign (TV, radio, website, etc.) featuring the tag line, “Find It Here” prior to Easter. This includes a website specifically designed for unsaved, unchurched people - www.FindItHere.com.
2. We will be prayerwalking neighborhoods all across our community during the week of March 20-26th.
3. We will be revisiting those same neighborhoods the week of March 27-April 3 delivering to each home a clear plastic bag containing the “Find It Here” gospel presentation which also directs them to the “Find It Here” website as well as an invitation to our church for Easter Sunday services (Sunday, April 4th).
4. We will prepare for guests to be with us on Easter Sunday and follow up with those that have visited with us.
How can each of us be involved?
- First and foremost pray. Pray for those in your circles of influence who do not know Jesus Christ.
- Invite these folks to join you for worship on Easter Sunday.
- Seek to share with them your story and God’s story as God’s Holy Spirit allows you opportunity.
- Participate in the prayerwalking and gospel distribution times toward the end of March. (Material and more information will be available in the worship center lobby and worship service folders during the month of March.)
- Anticipate that God will use our prayers, our seed sowing, and our faithfulness in going out beyond the walls of our church to impact our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
