Bio:My wife Tonya, son Cooper, and I now live in Rock Hill, SC. I grew up in a Christian home and was very involved in my home church (Huntersville United Methodist). I was truly blessed by being born into a family with wonderful parents who loved, nurtured, and taught me right from wrong, the importance of loving thy neighbor, and how to genuinely be a good person. It was definitely not a perfect home, but one where I was truly loved.
Testimony:As with many folks, I found that I began to stray little by little as I went through my teenage and college years. I developed a hostile temper, a filthy mouth, lustful thoughts, and when in college participated in the full party scene with social drinking. I met my wife on August 19th, 1995, the night before I was to go back to college for my sophomore year. Our love blossomed over the years. During the time that we were dating and eventually got engaged, we decided to go out and search for a new church home together. After visiting a few different churches, we fell in love with Mt Pleasant (NC) First Baptist. We actively participated in that church and it was there that I felt the conviction and knew that I would not have eternal life just on good works, but needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That was where I was saved. Sanctification is a process and I have seen the Holy Spirit at work in my life through the changes that have been made and the opportunities to serve.
