Bio:I have lived in the FortMill area since April 1989 and became a member of FBC Fort Mill in 1991.I have been a Sunday school teacher, RA Leader and Deacon. I left FBC Fort Mill in 1997 and was active in the start of a new church until I returned to FBC Fort Mill in 2002. Since then I have been active within the preschool area on Sunday evenings and as the Prayer Coordinator for our Adult Bible Fellowship Group. I am married to Teresa and have two children, Brandon and Ryan.
Testimony:God has used a very serendipitous path to get me to where I am today. I grew up in Southern California and though my parents were not Christians they thought it important for me to attend a private school. The school also happened to be an excellent Christian school. The summer before I started attending third grade, I was sent to VacationBibleSchool to get used to the surroundings at this new school. The last day of VBS I decided that I needed to be saved, which I had no idea what that meant, “Saved.” One thing I learned at that young age was that the church uses terms that the average non-Christian does not understand. I was more confused compared to what I understood and it took a while to learn. I was fortunate to gain a strong foundation of Biblical principles while attending Christian day-school and college. My Christian walk with the Lord began to really mature over the last 12 years when I began a more consistent daily Bible study. I learned to rely on Him rather than my own abilities. God is good and it is never too late to begin a closer walk with Him.
