Daniel Priddy

Bio:  Cathy and I have been in the Fort Mill area since 2005 and members of FBC Fort Mill since the middle of 2005.  I'm originally from Winston-Salem (more specifically King, NC, and Cathy is from Monroe, NC).  My areas of service include “Uptown” for the elementary school age kids and Billy Graham volunteer for TV telephone ministry (TVTM) that meets every Wednesday night for callers to receive Christ. Cathy and I attend the Jim Eubanks Sunday school class. I am a product of Christian parents who attended First Baptist King, NC, my entire growing up years (birth – 18), and I had a “drug” problem as I was “drug” to the church every time the doors were open.

Testimony:  I am very, very thankful for my parents and the Christian environment that I was exposed to during my formative years.  Most kids that are a product of a Christian home such as mine usually accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior around the age of 7 or 8.  However, it was not until I was 13 that I finally made public my decision to accept Jesus Christ as my very own Lord and Savior.  I was under the false impression that because my parents were Christians and that I attended church that I was already a Christian myself.  However, God doesn’t have any “grandchildren” --- He only has children, and the only way to become a child of God myself had nothing to do with my parents.  It took an act of obedience and understanding from me.  I could not rely on my parents for this one!  Finally, the summer of 1984 at “Centrifuge,” I accepted Jesus Christ as my very own Lord and Savior…and as a result became a child of God!!!!
